I died a little inside today.
I just rebuilt my computer to be, well, better. It is better. I am super happy!
BUT!..........
My harddrive had to be wiped out to install the better hardware. Understandable.
So I backed up every file on my external hard drive.
Or so I thought.
Turns out, it didn't actually back up anything but my old drivers. Somehow everything else disappeared from previous back ups and thus, my entire art gallery and history is gone.
Every photo, poem, story and piece or art (even my entire portfolio and school history) Is completely gone.
Needless to say I am heartbroken and in complete disarray. I am not really sure what to do right now besides, honestly, have a mental breakdown and mourn my loss.. And unfortunately I really have nothing uploaded online at all, especially from years ago.

I have to start my art-life over from scratch now.  

Until I get over the initial shock and despair, it is going to be an incredibly painful and long road ahead to recreate an entire portfolio as well as recreate myself as an artist.

Because what I had initially ready to upload is now gone.

So I went to Ohayocon this past weekend. It was a blast, save for the blisters destroying my toes from my first attempt at wearing a costume all day. A flask helped me get through some of the not-so-awesome points and my best friend and boyfriend seemed to really enjoy it too! Next year, the plan is to get really creative costume wise. I hope I can cosplay for-reals then. Lolita is OK, but not my thing.

Plus my photos turned out horrible.

SOPA and PIPA won't solve anything.
It will hinder our abilities to reach new audiences as artists and further compromise online businesses. It's going to start an internet-civil-war between government and people.
It's senseless.
If Congress passes these, then they are taking away more of our freedoms as American's, and our civil rights.
The U.S. government has taken many of our rights away in the past ten years, post 9/11. If no one has noticed, this is just another step into an anti-democratic nation.
We are not a free country, and this further proves that.

I am outraged.

It's portfolio season! This spring dubs the time that I start fine tuning and reassembling my personal portfolio both online and in print!

'Tis the season I get my rear-in-gear and start developing a comic-book plot. I've gotten a bit ahead of myself and drew 4 pages worth of story boarding panels before I even got a real story written and characters developed! =^_^= I get a little antsy and rather draw it first instead of write it. Which isn't always a good thing.

I've also got a pile of unfinished drawings that need completed and posted. So much to do! So much neglected! So little time!
Time to bring in the new year with some art!
